SNOW UPDATE FOR Monday, February 8th at 5pm: Public Work crews worked to clear snow from roadways and intersections with a great deal of success and assistance from Mother Nature. While there are many roadways down to asphalt in the travel lanes, there are some that have snow pack on them and others with sections of ice/snow pack. Streets with parking on them are a real problem as there are limited options to move the snow. Public Works has called in contractors to help in moving the snow and have made significant progress. If residents that usually park on streets can park elsewhere that will facilitate clearing. Suggestions are in center Greenbelt, there is a parking at Roosevelt Center and Attick Park. In Empirian Village, there is parking at the Springhill Lake Recreation Center. Tomorrow we will continue to push the snow back and look to get more streets down to asphalt and prepare for another possible 10 to 20 inches. If you have any problems, please contact Public Works at 301-474-8004. SKI ROUNDTOP SNOW TUBING TRIP: Hey kids ages 10-15, Do something really fun on your day off!
