To mark the season, Greenbelt Recreation is presenting a heartwarming new video program titled Light Up The Night With Hope: A Celebration of Music and Caring. The program features musical performances by the Eleanor Roosevelt High School Gospel Choir, the Eleanor Roosevelt Women’s Chamber Ensemble, Greenbelt Recreation’s Creative Kids Camp, and Greenbelt vocalists Amanda Sorensen and Aidan Larkin. The program also highlights how Greenbelt responds to neighbors in need, focusing on three programs that address food insecurity.
The program will debut in the Virtual Recreation Center on December 12. Keep following us here to see more videos throughout the Holiday season!
To start off, check out A Candle In The Window, a succession of clips showing City staffers and other community service personnel placing a lighted candle in the windows of their respective facilities and waving. The segment serves to assure the community that all Greenbelt institutions and facilities are keeping watch through the pandemic and looking forward with hope and confidence to welcoming everyone again.
