No Mow Month - Registration

The registration period has closed for 2023.

You must register to participate; register by March 24, 2023 to receive a yard sign.

Help promote pollinator populations by not mowing your lawn this April!

By letting your lawn grow and reducing mowing for a month in early spring, you can help increase the number and diversity of native pollinators!  Plants that grow in your lawn in April provide food and habitat benefits for pollinators that emerge early in the spring, and by not mowing, you can help their populations for the coming months.

Be sure to pick up your No Mow Month yard sign to display in your yard during the month of April.  

Sign pickup at the Department of Public Works

• Pickup Hours: 8 am - 3:30 p.m.
• Address: 555 Crescent Road, Greenbelt, MD 20770
• You can pick up your signs starting on March 27, 2022
• After April 30, please return the sign to the Department of Public Works
