Electronics Recycling

The City holds Quarterly Electronic Recycling Events. During these events, items can be dropped off at the Public Works Facility at 555 Crescent Road. City residents, businesses, and organizations can recycle old and/or unwanted computers and other electronic items.

The Electronics Recycling Events scheduled for 2021:April 24 from 9am-12pm.

  • Expanded polystyrene (block #6). No cups, egg-cartons, or food trays

NOTICE: We do not accept acids, alkaline batteries, CRTs or Tube TVs, no film, photos or x-rays, no Furniture or file cabinets, no household appliances, no magnetic tapes of any kind, no microwaves, no oil- or PCB-containing devices, no paints/liquids of any kind, no radioactive materials (such as ION Scanners), no refrigerants

Please call in advance if you want to drop off of more than 10 items or items over 50 lbs.

Yuck Paint Recycling

Your old paint will be used in developing countries' humanitarian construction projects. DO NOT mix paint in other containers. In order for the paint to be properly used, the contents on the inside need to match the label on the outside. Cost - $5 per container

If you are unable to attend the event, you may hire this service directly to come to your home for an additional $85 service fee. Yuck Old Paint, LLC 888-509-9825 (YUCK) or www.YuckOldPaint.com.

Styrofoam

Block Expanded Polystyrene (Block Styrofoam) white, clean, #6. Styrofoam must be free of tape, glue, and visible dirt to be accepted.

Televisions

We no longer accept tube televisions. We do not accept televisions larger than 32 inches.

CFLs

Compact florescent lights are not accepted at Electronics Recycling. Consumers can take all used, unbroken CFL bulbs to any IKEA store. Look for the bins near the exit doors. Learn more about how to recycle CFLs.
