Due to the current COVID-19 protocols, the Public Hearings will be held virtually. The Virtual Public Hearings provide an opportunity for attendees to provide individual testimony and comments on the SCMAGLEV DEIS, Draft Section 4(f) Evaluation, and Draft Section 106 Programmatic Agreement. All testimony will be recorded by an official Court Reporter. There will be no formal presentation during the testimony sessions, and no responses to questions will be given. Comments received during the public hearings will be considered in the Final Environmental Impact Statement. To provide live individual testimony, speakers are required to pre-register for one of the hearing dates and times in advance. Please sign up only once to provide live testimony. Recorded testimony can be provided during the hearings by calling 855-450-1219 and selecting the option to record a voicemail. Members of the public will have three minutes per person to give testimony (public or recorded). Each of the six hearing sessions will follow the same format and will be broadcast online via the project YouTube channel or the project website and via telephone at 855-450-1219. Additional instructions on how to provide live testimony will be emailed to the registrants as the hearing dates approach.
