Call to order: 

1. Updates from Sustainability Framework / Green Team Circles.

a. Energy / Solar Circle

I. New Greenhouse gas emissions reduction goals to reflect the climate change emergency. 80% by 2050 and 20% by 2020 is the current one by the City of Greenbelt. COG chose 50% by 2030

 b. Food Systems / Sustainable Land Care/Pollinators Circle.

I. New pollinator habitat -write a proposal to Council on possible locations. Coordinate with the Forest Preserve Advisory Board.

Also recommend updating guide to the City’s mowing practice. Perhaps have a no-mow Spring?

c. Green Building. Can Green ACES recommendation to council to generate a rule/ordinance with more stringent building codes/recommendations – Coordinate with APB

d. Land Use /

e. Transportation.

f. Local Economies - Time Bank Circle.

g. Waste Management / Zero Waste Circle.

h. Water / Stream – Anacostia Watershed Society’s Festival is in October. Pollinators still interested in participating?

2. Events/Other:

1. Environmental collection for our library? Xochitl is looking into this.

2. Xochitl recommends updating the City’s website. Luisa will help.
