Greenbelt Home Advantage First-Time Homebuyers Community Meeting

The City of Greenbelt in partnership with the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development will be hosting a “Greenbelt Home Advantage First-Time Homebuyers*” Community meeting to help residents learn more about how to apply for a grant for up to $15,000, to put towards down payment or closing costs on the purchase of their first home in the City of Greenbelt using the Maryland Mortgage Program. 

Eligible borrowers must be existing renters in the City of Greenbelt for 12 or more consecutive months and be purchasing a home in the City of Greenbelt (20770 zip code area).  

Date: February 28, 2023

Time: 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Location: Beltway Plaza, 6000 Greenbelt Road, Greenbelt, MD 20770 (in a vacant retail space located near the AMC Theater)

Ample parking is available near the Theater in the back parking area of the shopping center.

*A first-time homebuyer is someone who has not owned a home anywhere for the past three years, OR is purchasing in a Targeted Area, OR is a veteran using their exemption for the first time..\
