Update from Kevin Carpenter-Driscoll on 9/27:
"Good Afternoon!
Thank you for registering for this year's National Public Lands Day - Bush Honeysuckle Round Up! I have been keeping my eye on the forecast all week and it looks like this rain will clear out tomorrow and give us a chance to do some work. We will be meeting at 10 am in the parking area in front of the Northway Ballfields (refer to this dropped pin for directions if you are not familiar: https://maps.app.goo.gl/trxppVQXjrEat3Qe9) before moving back into the Forest Preserve to continue our work to trim back and starve out the invasive bush honeysuckle in that area. It will be relatively warm in the mid-70's but be prepared for muddy conditions and dress accordingly. I look forward to working with everyone tomorrow and please let me know if you have any questions!"
