Parking Enforcement Complaints

Residents or businesses with Parking Enforcement Complaints may call the police non emergency line 301-474-7200. A Parking Enforcement Officer will be dispatched to the site.

Parking Code Updates

The City Council has approved legislation limiting on-street parking, without movement of a vehicle, for 30 days.

Sec. 11-52. Storage of Vehicles

It shall be unlawful to park or store a vehicle upon a public street, alley, roadway, or parking lot for a period of 30 consecutive days in a single parking space without movement of such vehicle, unless a long-term parking permit has been issued to the vehicle by the city.

Long Term Parking Permits

Long-term parking permits may be requested through the Department of Planning and Community Development. Written requests indicating the request and reason for the request should be directed, in writing, to:
