Report Outages Immediately

Pepco is committed to providing reliable electric service to all our customers. Sometimes, however, power outages do occur. If the your power goes out, Pepco asks that you report it immediately to the 24-hour emergency line at 877-737-2662.

Our automated outage reporting line is available 24 hours a day. It transmits your report immediately to Pepco's outage management system so investigation and repair can be scheduled as soon as possible. We cannot respond to outages reported by email. Please do not dial 9-1-1 for outage information or to report power outages.

Report Downed Wires Immediately

Storms or other events can knock down electrical wires or damage other electrical equipment on Pepco's system. These are dangerous situations, and Pepco asks that you report all downed wires and life threatening emergencies to the following emergency lines:

Downed Wires Are Dangerous

You should never approach, touch, or attempt to move downed power lines or trees or other items that have fallen on them. Even if the line looks dead, it could still be carrying electricity and could cause serious injury. Keep children and pets safely away from any downed wires or damaged electrical equipment.
