2024 Street Sweeper Schedule for the Four Cities Coalition

We're pleased to announce the street sweeper schedule for the 2024 calendar year as part of our ongoing commitment to maintain clean and safe streets in our communities. This program is a key component of the Four Cities Coalition, serving the municipalities of Berwyn Heights, College Park, New Carrollton, and Greenbelt.

The schedule has been meticulously designed to ensure that every street in these four cities is swept a minimum of eight times per year, in line with our management objectives. 

Key Highlights of the 2024 Schedule:

• Comprehensive Coverage: The program covers a total of 119 miles across the coalition, with individual mileages of 15 miles in Berwyn Heights, 55 miles in College Park, 26 miles in Greenbelt, and 23 miles in New Carrollton.
  
  
• Regular Reviews and Adaptability: To ensure the highest quality of service, our teams meet semi-annually to review operations and make necessary adjustments to the schedule.
  
  
• Budget and Resources: In light of the aging street sweeper equipment, we have increased our budget for repairs and maintenance to $12,500 for FY 2024. This adjustment ensures that our fleet remains in top condition to serve our communities effectively.
  
  
• Shared Costs and Community Support: The costs of the street sweeping program are equitably shared between the four participating communities, demonstrating our collaborative effort to maintain high standards of public cleanliness and safety.
