Greenbelt’s Artist in Residence Program

This program seeks to provide a mutually supportive work environment for experienced visual artists. A diverse group of participants is sought whose work is thoughtful, original and of professional quality. Applicants should be able to demonstrate both a strong personal commitment to their own work and an interest in contributing to the cultural life of the local community. Artists working in any visual arts medium (including fine crafts) are welcome to apply. Participation is open to persons ages 18 and above. Special consideration will be given to qualified Greenbelt residents if all other qualifications are deemed equivalent. Non-residents of Greenbelt are also encouraged to apply.

A standard studio measures 10' X 17' in a room shared with one or two other artists. The monthly rent for new residencies beginning in July will be $230.64.
