Daily Admission: Summer Session:

• Monday–Friday: Open to all (Residents, Non-Residents, Guest and Pass-Holders)

• Weekends & Holidays: Admission restricted to Residents and Pass-Holders. They may be accompanied by three (3) paying guests.

• All members will be required to swipe their membership card at the front desk upon arrival. All paying guest will be asked to sign-in at the front desk for emergency contact.

• Face coverings are optional while inside the GAFC

Membership:

A recreation center membership is required for gym entry. Memberships are purchased at each facility. You must show proof of residency at the time of purchase and have your parent or guardian sign the Recreation Membership Application prior to the card being issued. Buddy Attick Park

Cookouts and Picnics
Individual grills are available for use by groups of less than 15 without a permit. You are not allowed to bring your own grill to any Greenbelt parks.

Fishing in Buddy Attick Lake
Recreational fishing is available.  Any fishing is subject to current Maryland Department of Natural Resources regulations.

Boating 
Recreational boating is allowed at Buddy Attick Lake Park under normal state and city requirements. Motorized boats are prohibited and a permit is required from the City. Boat permits are issued to Greenbelt residents only and can be obtained at the Greenbelt Police Department.  

Schrom Hills Park

Features include: outdoor fitness zone, basketball court, softball/baseball field, soccer field, paved trail, picnic tables and grills, meeting room, permitted picnic pavilion, parking, restrooms, and a playground. 

Cookouts and Picnics
Individual grills and picnic tables, located near the softball field, are available for use by groups of less than 15 without a permit.  You are not allowed to bring your own grill to any Greenbelt parks.  Use of the Schrom Hills Park picnic pavilion (covered area with built-in grill) is by PERMIT ONLY.

Athletic Fields
Schrom Hills Park has a softball/baseball field and a full-sized soccer field.  Regular, organized usage of the athletic fields requires an athletic field permit.  Permitted groups always have priority usage of all fields.

Greenbelt Dog Park

This facility is overseen by Greenbelt Animal Control/Police Department - It is now open with new rules and new permits.

Established to help promote responsible pet ownership and enhance canine training, behavior, and safe exercise opportunities, this facility is the first of its kind in the State of Maryland. For operating guidelines and rules for usage, call 301-474-6124 or email animalcontrol@greenbeltmd.gov 

The dog park is for the use and enjoyment of all residents and non-residents of Greenbelt, with a valid permit only. You must pay a fee and submit a Dog Park Use Application before using the facility. 

Fee per household: Residents - $10.00 | Non-Residents - $30.00 

All documentations, including the application and fee must be submitted in person to an Animal Control Officer. An appointment must be scheduled during this time. Call Animal Control at 301-474-6124 or via email at animalcontrol@greenbeltmd.gov to schedule your appointment.

Greenbelt Skate Park

Tennis Courts 

Tennis Courts in Greenbelt are open to the public on a first come, first served basis. If others are waiting to use a court, please limit play to no more than one hour. Braden Field Tennis Courts have 8 tennis courts.  Two additional tennis courts are located off of Lakecrest Drive. Any permitted/rental usage of tennis courts will be posted prominently for public notice. 

Court Lights – Braden Field Tennis Courts are equipped with lights. Lights are operated by a token machine at courts 3-4.  Tokens may be purchased for $1/token at the Greenbelt Youth Center ($1 and $5 bills only).  One token provides 30 minutes of light and all lights automatically turn off at 11:00pm.   

**Braden Field Tennis Courts 5-8 and the Lakecrest Drive tennis courts will be resurfaced in the near future and the resurfacing will include lining for four pickleball courts on both Braden Field courts 7-8 and the Lakecrest Drive courts, allowing for those courts to accommodate both tennis and pickleball.**
