They seek to create Wild Neighbors Communities, where humane and non-lethal solutions are given priority when addressing conflicts between people and wildlife. Download the brochure and learn how to handle situations with Raccoons, Opossums, Foxes, Orphaned Animals and more!
Nuisance Animals
The City of Greenbelt Animal Control will only trap nuisance animals if they are inside of your living quarters (not basement or attic). They will also trap sick or injured wildlife.
All other instances (under porch, in attic, etc.) are the home owner's responsibility and you may hire a private trapping company. The Humane Society has some helpful information on evicting wildlife.
To report roadkill in Greenbelt, please call Greenbelt Animal Control officers at 301-474-6124. If the roads are not within the city of Greenbelt, please call Prince George’s County Animal Services Department at 301-780-7200.
